I Lost My Housecarl In Skyrim

  • #i
I was made the Thane of Whiterun by Jarl Balgruff. I was in the cave near Morthal (the one with the vampires) with my housecarl Lydia. I don't know if she died or I just got separated from her, but she'south gone. Is there any way to go her dorsum? Usually if I went upwardly high or something and she couldn't follow she'd be there if I entered a new area. Merely it seems she'southward gone for good this time. Is this a glitch or is she really washed for?

Well when you lose a follower they volition generally turn up at your house if yous have one. A housecarl will go the firm in the town they're from. So Lydia will be in the Whiterun business firm if you own information technology. If non, then she'll exist in the Jarl's house(Dragonreach). It can take a 2-3 in game days sometimes though.

I don't know if she died or I just got separated from her, merely she's gone. Is there any mode to go her back? If she'south still alive:
-If yous told her to wait somewhere she's still waiting there.
-If you told her to role ways she's back at Breezehome, and if y'all don't own Breezehome, at Dragonreach.
-If she's but lost, she'll rejoin you the next time you fast-travel.

If none of the above, she'south probable dead. You can doublecheck this past trying to get someone else to follow you. They'll refuse if they think y'all already have a follower (which they'll 'know' fifty-fifty if your follower is nowhere nearby!).

If she is dead, it's no huge loss. Her level locks in when you meet her anyway, and so as the game goes on she gets more and more useless. You should rotate followers like you'd flip a mattress, rotate tires, or become a haircut.

Though she may one twenty-four hour period ruin your wedding.

Though she may one mean solar day ruin your nuptials.

-If y'all told her to await somewhere she's still waiting there. To a degree if yous tell your followers to look & they wait for to long they volition eventually return to where you found them. On a side notation I was led to believe that if you delivered the concluding hitting on a follower when downward just not out they would die which is true merely I though that they stayed dead. Yet I don't know if it was a glitch just one of the companions was bugged & wouldn't stop talking to me so I killed him only to discover him back in the companions hall. Of course this was after hours of gameplay & months in game time and so I don't know what happened.

It would be a adept update/option to "magically" call up your companion to a pre-set checkpoint / safehouse.

Damn it, I think Lydia died in my game. She's no where to be found. All those items I gave to her to hold cos I was running outta space. :(
  • #xv
If y'all requite her too much to carry she will be over encumbered and not be able to move. There appears to exist a limit to what a follower can comport and remain mobile.

I watched Lydia go upwards in flames. I couldn't help her considering I had to take encompass to heal. When the boxing was over, I took from her what I needed.

Well with the new patch at that place have been problems with lydia falling through the flooring in some areas I unfortunately had a problem where I cast a scroll of fire cloak on myself & lydia took some damage from information technology & started attacking me so I ran away cuz I didn't wanna impale her & when I fast traveled she wouldn't appear either fortunately I plant her again in dragonreach.
